Evelyn Turns 9 Months Old!

Wow, our little Evie is 9 months old now!  It's hard to believe, the time has flown by so quickly.  She's such a good little girl, and such a delight.  We have so much fun with her!

Patrick & Evie

We were delighted to have Joe's friend Patrick stay with us this last weekend.  He traveled all the way from Scotland just to meet our little Evie (and maybe to see Joe, too).

St. Patrick's Day Parade

Kansas City is serious about St. Patrick's Day.  They even have a "Warm-Up Parade" the weekend before in Brookside.  We were running a little late and having trouble finding parking and then, luck of the Irish, we scored a parking spot right on the parade route.  It was an amazing parade experience, all conveniently viewed from the back of our car.  Our little Evie loved all of the sights and sounds, and it was nice to get out of the sun for a little bit.

First Swing

We are fortunate to have a great park just four blocks from our apartment.  Evie really enjoyed her first time in a swing this spring afternoon.

 

KC Cake Fest

A random thing to do on a Saturday afternoon, we went to the KC Cake Fest.  It was cold and windy outside and the event was free and inside the convention center downtown.  While most of the exhibits were a little underwhelming, Evie enjoyed riding around in the backpack, and we managed to score some free ice cream, (which made Joe very happy).
