Fun at the Arcade!

Mom really hates arcades.  The ear-splitting noise, flashing lights, and overwhelmingly chaotic atmosphere is just all too much.  Thankfully, Dad likes arcades and has no problem spending time there with the kids.  And they all have a super fun time!  Spun cotton candy made in a vending machine, whack-a-mole, driving games, etc.  

Teacher Gina's Farm

Evie's teacher, Teacher Gina, invited the school and their families at her farm this weekend.  They live near South Mountain, and have so many farm animals!  (Teacher Gina and her husband used to own the restaurant "The Paisley", where Joe and I got married.  So it was really fun to see what their life looks like now).  The kids had a great time, but I think Evie's favorite animal was their enormous white sheepdog.

Zoo

The kids weren't feeling great, so I kept Evie home from school and we went to the zoo.  The weather was so nice, it was an unusually cloudy and cool day.  Unfortunately, it was also every other kid's spring break, so the zoo was pretty busy.  I took the stroller from our car, but then Evie and Henry both wanted to sit in it, so I rented a dual stroller from the zoo.  They're both still coughing a lot, so I wanted them to be able to sit if they needed to.  The candy necklaces didn't last nearly as long as I thought they would.  We had a great time, and got to see a lot of animals!

Ice Cream

It was a special free ice cream day at Dairy Queen.  So the kids and I buzzed over there right after I picked up Evie from school.  I ordered them each a vanilla cone (less messy), and myself a chocolate dipped cone.  And then Evie promptly traded me for mine.
