Easter Day

Well, we tried to get some good family photos on Easter but Evie wasn't cooperating.  She thought that being held while smiling at the camera was pretty much the most boring thing ever, when she clearly just wanted to get down and run around.
This year, her Easter basket included some new books, pink sunglasses, a bath toy, hair barrettes, a pinwheel, and homemade playdough.
After church, we met Syl, Steve & Sophia for brunch and then let the girls run around the splash pad at Kierland.  We forgot her swim suit (oops) so she just got to wear her Easter dress.

First Egg Hunt

So we thought it would be fun to give Evie a little Easter egg hunt at home today.  We put a small jelly bean in each plastic egg and threw them out in the grass outside of our apartment.  Evie wasn't too interested in picking up the eggs, until we showed her the jelly beans.  Then, she would find an egg, sit down in the grass, and try to break it open to get to the candy.  It was very slow, and each opened egg shell was just abandoned in the grass afterwards.  I'm sure she'll get it next year.  ;)

Gola's Spring Party

This year for Gola's birthday, Vicki & Ray decided to wait until March to have a party for Gola.  It was a really fun party, with lots of bubbles, balloons, and some time on the playground across the street from their house.  Evie really enjoyed sneaking pretzels, watching the other kids and playing at the park.  Her adorable dress was a sweet gift from her Nanna & Papa for Valentine's Day.

We took another short video of Evie talking while we were in the car today.  She just learned how to say "Oh My Goodness" a day or two ago.  This is seriously so cute.

An Easter Eggstravaganza

On this Sunday afternoon, we joined Joe's family at a neighborhood Easter Eggstravaganza event in north Phoenix.  Evie wore one of her two Easter dresses and mostly just ran around and looked cute.  (Two Easter dresses?  Yes, I found two adorable dresses at a kid's consignment store, and had to get both of them).  I am so excited to share these photos with you!

Evie Says Everyone's Names

After spending a good deal of time playing outside this morning, Evie came inside and wanted to talk to her Papa and Nana... "Papaaa?? Nanaaaaaa??"  So we made another video, this time with everybody included - even the Far East Bass's!  We love you guys!
