More Water Fun

I love that super cute baby chubs that she still has.

A New Shirt

So I picked up a few fabric remnants recently and have sewn a couple of quick items for Evie.  The first was this simple top, which was still challenging since I'm not buying any patterns.  She looks like she really loves it, right?  ...no wait, she just wants a snack, never mind.

Splash Pad!

I now think that splash pads might be the greatest invention since the light bulb.  (Okay maybe not, but they are pretty cool for small kids).  After a great lunch with Syl, Steve & Sophia, we took the girls over to the splash pad area (and I remembered her swimsuit this time, yay!).  Since seeing Sophia play here last summer, we've been anxiously awaiting the time when Evie would be running around so that she could join in on all of the fun.  She loved it, and took a very long nap when we got home.  Here are some fun pics and a short video of her in action.

A New Chair For Evie

We thought that Evie needed a little chair to go with her table, so that she has somewhere to sit to draw or play with playdough.  (Nevermind that the girl never sits anywhere for more than 28 seconds at a time).  So we got her one tonight at IKEA for $13.  Joe put it together pretty quickly, even with Evie "helping".  I thought it might be a little too tall for her yet, but our little goldilocks thinks it's just right.

Evie Likes The Park

Now that Evie can specifically ask for trips to the park, "stroller", "park", "swing", "slide", we are going a bit more often.  She's just so darn cute, it's hard to say no sometimes.

A Post Not About Evie

Since it was my birthday on Thursday, my aunt and uncle offered to watch Evie for us from Saturday afternoon til Sunday afternoon.  On Saturday night, Joe and I met our good friends, Charlie & Christy, for a really fun dinner and we took full advantage of our child-free evening... returning home around 2 am.  (Darn, we forgot to take pics!)  On Sunday, Joe and I went to brunch at the Camelback Inn, which was spectacular.  We sat outside on some comfy lounge furniture in the most beautiful weather, listened to some great live music, and ate from the most amazing brunch buffet for a couple of hours.  It was probably one of the best birthdays I have ever had, and truly everything that I could have wanted.  Thank you, Trish & Marshall!!!!!

An Afternoon With Gola

Our awesome goddaughter, Gola Wren, got to spend the afternoon with us.  I set up the water activity table outside and the girls had a great time.  You can probably tell from the photos that Evie absolutely adores her friend Gola.
