The Arrival of Wyatt James!

We are so blessed and very excited to welcome the newest member of our family.  This week, my sister Kristyn gave birth to a big, beautiful boy.  This little guy was born 9lbs 15oz and 23in long.  Congratulation, Kris & Eric!!!  We can't wait to meet him!

Evie Is Getting Into Stuff

And by stuff, I mean everything.

Exhibit A: The plant (and yes, that is dirt on her face and tongue).  A day later, she managed to pull the whole thing over.

in about .5 seconds.  But we're learning, if we pack the books in really, really tight, she can't pull any of them out.  At least for now.

Waking Up Happy

I love these moments.  Don't get me wrong, it's wonderful putting Evelyn down for a nap (so easy these days) and being able to get some things done, but the time is never as sweet as going in after she's woken up and getting to see this.

  

Evelyn Turns 12 Months Old!

It is hard to believe that our little miss is a year old already.  And yet her birth seems like such a distant memory most of the time.  Evelyn is such a joy to us and truly a blessed gift from a very loving God.  It's hard for us to imagine a time when she wasn't with us, and we are so thankful to have her in our lives.

A Water Activity Table for Evie

For Evie's first birthday, we decided to buy her a water activity table.  The package arrived late, so she found it all set up for her after waking from her afternoon nap today.  We hope that this will be something she will be able to enjoy for quite awhile.  And for now, it doesn't hurt that we have concrete floors in our apartment so she can use it indoors too.

  

What A Peach!

While Evie was in the kitchen with Nanna, she became interested in a bucket of freshly-picked peaches on the floor.  Then as soon as Nanna looked away, she snatched one out and started eating it!  Evie ate the entire peach, minus the pit of course.  And as I was trying to take pictures of her, she kept trying to crawl away, probably in fear that I was going to take it from her.  Too funny!
