Sibling Fun
Have I mentioned that our two kiddos playing together is the best thing that's happened this year? I absolutely love it when the kids play together and entertain each other and leave me alone for a few minutes. One of their favorite things to do is to play on Evie's bed, it's hilarious. I do have to constantly open and reopen Evie's bedroom door because she closes it to keep Henry from leaving, and frequently Evie ends up hurting Henry by playing too rough, but hey, it's a start!

A Mouse In The House?
Has a mouse started trying to eat our cereal boxes? Nope, it's just Henry (aka Hangry - angry when hungry). This little guy loves to eat, and when he feels it is time, there is no room for patience and understanding that it takes mommy a few minutes to prepare food. Sometimes, he whines and grunts, and other times he goes foraging for whatever he can find. What a funny boy! I will watch him more closely in the future while preparing his meals.

A Birthday Brunch
For my 35th birthday this year, I wanted to go to brunch with my husband. Just me and Joe, no kids, no interrupted conversations, no negotiating with toddlers on what they will eat. And Joe's mom graciously agreed to come over and watch the munchkins for us for the morning. The Camelback Inn has become one of our favorite special-occasion brunch spots, because of the buffet, the outdoor patio, and the live music. And it was awesome!!!!!
Also, Joe took some photos of me with Henry after we got back to the house which are really sweet, so I've included those as well.

Sophia's 6th Birthday Party
Joe's sister, Sylvanna, really knows how to throw a party. This one was magnificent with a horse-drawn carriage, lots of fun Cinderella-themed food and decorations, and Cinderella herself (or a look-alike who painted kids' faces). Sylvanna herself dressed up as the fairy godmother, or a very young and beautiful version of her. At Joe's thoughtful suggestion, we brought along Evie's rapunzel dress which was super smart. Evie had a great time, although we're not sure why she wanted a spider painted on her face (she's a weird kid, sometimes). We're looking forward to Sophia's sweet 16 birthday party, which we're hoping will involve a trip to Europe.

Henry Pushes Evie
in the baby doll stroller. I love this video, it totally cracks me up. It looks like we're training Henry for some kind of demented baby olympics. And don't worry, the stroller is already broken. It broke long ago, after telling Evie not to sit in it at least a hundred times. At least a hundred.

A Table Tent
Today, the kids and I built a table tent. (Well, I threw a blanket over the dining table anyway). Evie and Henry had so much fun playing together, it was so awesome! Awwww, simple pleasures.

The Zooooooo!!
We went to the zoo today with Steve & Sophia. (Poor Syl had to work, bummer). The girls had a fantastic time riding in the wagon together, checking out the animals, and doing all other kinds of other zoo activities. Henry, although mostly confined to the stroller, was very entertained. Steve & Joe obviously had a great time too, as you can see for yourself.
