June Miscellaneous

Wow, this has been such a fun and eventful month!!  Lots of fun celebrations, a fantastic trip to Kansas, and so many silly and sweet moments.

A Bucket Hat

Henry found an empty bucket on the patio and thought it would make a good hat.   These photos are so funny and adorable - and 100% Henry.  They are borderline future-blackmail photos, but they are so adorable, I almost can't imagine any resulting embarrassment.

Joe found this cute set of costume aviator goggles at Goodwill, and Henry and I were playing around with them this morning.

Evie's Family Birthday Celebration

We invited Joe's family to join us for dinner and cake at Grimaldi's Pizzeria in Scottsdale to celebrate Evie's birthday.  We really like their pizza and they are cool with accommodating our large group.  Up until this year, I have been able to get away with making cupcakes for the kids' birthdays.  (I really hate making cakes).  Well, Evie had her eye on a princess cake that she would see at the grocery store.  So we ordered the Cinderella princess Barbie cake in blue, and she LOVED it.  The cake was actually pretty good too, and we saved back the left over cake and froze it in pieces.  (It's even better frozen).  After we finished dinner, cake and opened presents, Syl, Steve & Sophia joined us at the splash pad for some water fun.

Evie's 5th Birthday

Our little girl is now 5 (FIVE!!!) years old.  It just blows my mind.  So on her birthday, we invited our friends, Vicki, Ray & Gola, over for dinner, dessert and presents to celebrate.  Both of our kids just adore Gola, and were so excited to have her come over.  They had a lot of fun playing together, and really enjoyed the ice cream sunday bar and opening presents.  Joe took on the responsibility of buying Evie's presents, and he did such a fabulous job!  Evie had a wonderful 5th birthday, and is already looking forward to her next birthday.
