Phoenix Zoo Carousel

We took Evie to the zoo for a couple of hours today because it was a decently cool morning (or so I thought) and I was able to get a Culture Pass from the library.  It was actually still too hot for walking around outside, but it was free (yay!).  We think Evie enjoyed it, but the highlight was truly just a ride on the carousel at the end.  Here are some cute pics:

 

Trip to Kansas

Evie and I made a quick trip back to see her Nana & Papa in Kansas.  We just couldn't wait until November (when Joe gets to join us, yay!).  In summary, we had a really great week together and got to spend some good time with Kris & Eric and even Staci & Jonathan, which was awesome.  Evie loved playing (and getting into trouble) with Wyatt, spending time outside whenever she could sneak out the patio door, feeding the neighbor's horse from the orchard, and collecting eggs with Papa.  And when our flight home was unexpectedly delayed by 6 hours, Mom took us to the Wichita Zoo which is a really fun and awesome zoo.  Can't wait to go back!

This last picture - Mom wanted to take a photo of Evie here, so we say to her "Say cheese!"  And Evie turns around and yells to the tiger, "Say cheese!"  What a funny girl, we laughed so much.

First Day of School

Evie is going to The Family School two mornings a week now.  She gets to take her lunch box and backpack each time, and I pick her up at noon.  Since our sweet Evie is such a social butterfly, we thought she might really enjoy playing with other kids, as well as engaging in some new, fun activities.  Here are some super cute photos that Joe took of her on her first day.

Sue's Birthday

Syl & Steve hosted a really lovely afternoon dinner for Sue's birthday this year.  The meal was outstanding, Evie & Sophia had a great time together, and we enjoyed a ton of laughs and a really fun game of charades.
