Fourth of July Fireworks

Okay, these are terrible photos, but I wanted a record of our July 4th fireworks viewing anyway.  The fireworks celebrations didn't begin until around 9 pm, well past the kids' bedtime.  And it is always SO hot here on July 4th.  So Joe and I put the kids to bed, grabbed their baby monitors and climbed up on the roof.  Oh yeah, and we also hoisted our plastic lounge chairs up there.  We were surprised that we could actually see 2 or 3 different fireworks exhibits from our roof, but they were far enough away that we couldn't hear them at all.  It was a very low-key Fourth of July for us, but we had a lot of fun watching the fireworks from the roof.
