A Big Rainstorm

So we had a really big rainstorm this afternoon.  I took the kids outside when it started because rain in Phoenix is always an event to enjoy and celebrate.  And then it just kept raining - up to 2 inches in an hour.  The National Weather Service has said that this storm was a 100-year event.  It was a little shocking to see so much rain flood our yard and patio, and I was honestly starting to get a little nervous.  Thankfully, Joe made it home okay, but the drive took him forever.  The kids loved it, though - they didn't want to come inside!
