McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park Holiday Lights

This fun train park lights up for a fun holiday season event and we attended it for the first time this year.  The park is covered in beautiful Christmas lights and displays, and there are train rides, photos with Santa, and various characters walking about.  Before heading over to the park, Joe met us in Scottsdale and we had dinner together at a restaurant across the street.  After arriving at the park, we realized the event was so popular that the lines to purchase tickets, to ride the bigger train, to ride the carousel, and to see Santa were just unreasonably long.  So we walked around and checked out everything else, rode the small train, looked at the model trains, played on the playground (which was a little too dark), and enjoyed a snack.  Thankfully the kids didn't seem too disappointed with our more limited visit, and we still had a fun evening together.
