Star Trek versus Star Wars

Joe thought it was hilarious that I dressed Henry in a Star Wars shirt on the same day that he was wearing his Star Trek shirt.  Oh no, can our home support such rivalry?!!  Hahahaha, Joe is so funny.

Daddy/Daughter Time

Most weekends, Joe will take Evie out to do something special, just the two of them.  And every few weeks, they go to Paradise Valley Mall so Evie can ride the carousel, the train, and play in the kids' area.  Evie just loves all of it, and they have a really fun time together! (Also great when the weather is just too hot to be outside).  This weekend, Joe apparently took too may photos and videos on the two carousel rides, because he got motion sickness and was nauseous for the rest of the day.  What a great dad!!

Dinner at Joyride

Taking the kids out to a nicer restaurant for a meal is always a bit of a challenge.  We usually avoid it entirely, knowing they will make it not so much fun for us if things take too long, they get bored, or just want to be difficult.  Gone are the days of a nice, relaxing meal with actual complete conversations (for now).  But sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind and try it again anyway.  This evening we went to Joyride Tacos, and while the kiddos were being challenging as usual, we still had a good time, ate some great food (quickly), and got some cute pics.

As Henry will soon be mobile, this is probably one of the last times I can put him on the bed without fear of him crawling right off the edge.
