Potty Talk

If you really don't like hearing small children say the words "pee-pee" and "poo-poo", don't watch this video.  But I think it has some redeeming qualities because Henry is totally cracking up.  Oh, potty humor.

Dinner with Daddy

Joe took Evie & Henry to Pita Jungle tonight for dinner.  And he took some adorable pics of them having a great time!

Train Park

As part of Joe giving me time to work on painting the new bed set, he took the kids to the train park today.  They had so much fun!!

A New Bed For Evie (and Henry)

Evie has slept in her toddler bed for almost two years now, and she's just about outgrown it.  After much debate, Joe and I settled on purchasing a low bunk bed set for her, with the intention of Henry and Evie eventually sharing the bedroom.  Fortunately, we found an awesome used bunk bed set on Craigslist.  It is all solid wood, very sturdy, and can be reconfigured in a number of ways.  Yay!  And because Joe loves me so much, he was sympathetic and supportive of my need to paint it.  And he also gave me a bunch of time to accomplish this effort over the course of two weeks, taking care of the kids while I worked.  Here are some pics of the first bed.  (Photos of the complete setup coming shortly).  Evie loves her big-girl bed and new bedding so much!!

More Pool Time!

Today was another scorcher, and a great day for the pool.  After the kids complained about the pool water being too cold the last time, I purchased a 50' hose and a faucet adapter.  Now we can fill the pool with warmer water.  These kids are so spoiled!  But I didn't have to hear any complaints about cold water and/or have to boil water on the stove top.  Win-win.

Evie Talks Pirate

Evie has a fun book that she and Joe read together that has a number of pirate vocabulary terms.  We're so proud.  :)

Spontaneous Snack Time

As we were leaving Trader Joes, Henry decided to start snacking on the exposed end of the french bread loaf that we had just bought.  It was so funny, Evie and I started laughing and she decided to join in too.

 

It's Pool Time!

May brings hot weather in Phoenix, so it was time to bring out the pool.  Of course, the kids complained that the water was too cold and Henry didn't want to get in at all.  So I boiled several pots of water and carried them out to the pool to warm up the water.  What a pain, but the kids had a lot of fun!  And the photo of Henry sitting on Evie totally cracks me up.
