Evie's Birthday Dinner

This year, for Evie's birthday celebration, we decided to keep it simple and invite Joe's family to join us for dinner at Grimaldi's at Scottsdale Quarter.  I had made the fairy princess crowns for Evie and Sophia and surprised them at the restaurant.  We ate pizza, drank wine, and shared homemade (well, the frosting was homemade, okay?) cupcakes.  It was relaxing and really fun!!

Evie's Birthday - Pool Fun

Later in the morning, Joe inflated our little pool and set up the slide and water table for the kiddos to play outside.  (It's been sooooo hot!)  They had so much fun playing in the water all morning.  Evie must have gone down the slide a hundred times.  Henry was less interested in the pool and spent more time exploring the patio.  They had a blast!!

Evie's Birthday - Saturday Morning

Here are some fun photos of Evie on Saturday morning.  We let her open one present - an owl lantern that Joe found for her.  We also made a big breakfast together - scrambled eggs, bacon, and raisin french toast.

Evie's Birthday Weekend Begins

Weekend birthdays are the best!  It gives us lots of extra time to spread out the special festivities.  Tonight, Joe brought home 5 birthday balloons for our little girl.  She and Henry were so excited!  (By the way, Joe discovered that you can buy inflated mylar balloons at the dollar store for $1 each, yay!  Who knew?)

Today, we went to PV Mall to look for some new shoes for Henry.  And of course, we had to also ride the train and the carousel!
