A Birthday Party

Evie & Joe went to a birthday party today for a friend at Evie's school.  The party was at one of those indoor trampoline places.  Evie had so much fun, and Joe took some great pics of the kids.

We had a great time at the zoo this morning!!  (Huge thanks to my aunts & uncles for gifting us a family pass this year!!)

Decorating Pumpkins

Evie is really getting into holiday decorating & activities.  The kids are still too young for pumpkin carving, so we painted one instead.  (We also decorated another pumpkin with colored tissue paper circles which turned out great).  Evie loves painting!  Henry thinks he does too, but he mostly just watches and makes a mess.  And when he starts to lick the paint, he's done.

Pool - Egg Hunt - Rainbow

Just some fun pics of the kids from our activities this week.  We spent yet another morning in the pool.  Desperate to entertain the kids, I decided they could certainly have an egg hunt in October, because why not.  And finally, Evie spots a rainbow after a little afternoon rain shower.

Final Days in Kansas

We spent so much time outside on this trip - the weather was fantastic and the kids loved being outdoors!  The kids all begged for rides in the wheelbarrow, and cried when the rides were over.  Papa added two more swings to the front porch during our visit, so now there are 4!  The last night that we were there, the adult kids sat around the firepit, laughed a lot, and we roasted all kinds of random food items we found in the house.  It was so fun, and we will miss everyone so much until next time!
