Pool Time!

I don't know how many pool pics of the kids I have posted already, but here are some more.  First, Evie did not actually find those seashells in our pool (they came from San Diego).  Second, Henry really is (mostly) a kind brother, evidenced by him sharing his popsicle with Evie.  And finally, putting toys in the pool on a floating surface will actually extend the pool's entertainment value.

San Diego Trip #7

Final vacation blog post, I swear!  After packing up our stuff and cleaning up the apartment a little, we left to find brunch.  We lucked out (thanks to Yelp) and had a really yummy meal at a great restaurant.  Then we decided to drive back to Mission, and check out the bay side.  The water wasn't any warmer, but it offered a different kind of beach experience.  We had a fun, last time at the beach before we got back in the car to head home.  Thankfully, we remembered to give Henry some dramamine this time, so he napped in the car for awhile and didn't get car sick.  It was a long drive home, but we had such a great vacation, we are anxious to do it again next year.

San Diego Trip #6

After a great time at the beach, we headed back to the apartment.  We put Henry down for a nap, and Evie was so tired she fell asleep on the sofa.  We decided to spend the evening at Belmont Park again, since we still had lots of ride tickets to burn.  The kids had a great time riding the amusement park rides, and we dined on hot dogs for a casual dinner.  We finished off the night with ice cream while sitting on the beach - it was fabulous.

San Diego Trip #5

The kiddos slept better last night, so we were all much happier in the morning.  (It seems like the first night while we are traveling, the kids have a rough time sleeping but then they settle in and the second night is easier).  So we hung out at the apartment, ate breakfast, and headed out.  Today we got smart and planned our lunch ahead of time.  We put the kids in our folding wagon, and walked a few blocks north to this little, family-owned market (Mission Market).  They made us a couple of sandwiches at the sandwich counter and we grabbed some chips for our picnic lunch on the beach.  (We also learned that Henry LOVES cheetos!)  After another fabulous day at the beach, I have a ton of pics to prove it!
