Evie has been talking about wanting a birthday cake. Joe agreed and they went to the store, bought a cake mix and some frosting, and made a cake. They also picked up a couple of mylar balloons which have provided a surprising amount of entertainment for the kids. The cake displayed the candles "89", because we had a pack in the fridge and Joe figured we wouldn't use these for some time. Evie was so excited about her cake!!
